To teach me how to trade / invest for a living?
Went through a couple of really crappy courses that taught me how to lose more money than i was before i attended.
How did YOU learn your skills?
Thanks

Just invest in indices and outperform 99% of traders and FMs out there. No need to learn anything.
I found people on the net who looked like they knew what they were doing, and followed along to see how their ideas worked out, many ideas, over a period of time until I could see who had something besides hot air, and see how their plays worked out over time.
I am also very savy as to political climate and how populations will react, and the motives that lead to actions by their leaders. This was accomplished over many decades, and paying attention and remembering what caused what and how things shook out.
I do very well, but it took a lot of work. Even if you get good advice, when you are in an investment you need to understand conditions (so you know first how to get in) and know when to get out.
In investing, blind greed and sloth kill. Good investing is a lot of work.
Its tough, and requires A LOT of WORK. That said investopedia.com and the various exchanges have much to offer in classes to teach you.
Their aim is to educate you so you continue trading/investing because if you lose money they no longer get trading commission. Which is how they make their money.
If you are working with a real broker, they would keep you informed as to what moves they are making and why.
That requires a minimum investment (5K) and they usually charge about $75 per trade (in & out) and an additional 15-20% of profit.
That is how they make their money, I know of a commodity broker that operates along these lines and he has only done 13-15 trades this year so far.
And I am thinking of moving my stuff over there cause he informs you as to why and when and how to protect your position and again why,
As in most forms of education you have to pay, but the incentive of being in weekly (at a minimum) contact would prove to be invaluable.
